"Light up the sky with Standard Fireworks"

Yay America! Knew you could do it. ♥ Thank you for doing the right thing. And I know there's an argument that non-Americans should just keep their noses out, but honestly, what the US does affects the rest of us in very real ways, so we do have a stake in it. So, yeah. Thanks ( Read more... )

*nearly chokes on her tea* CHANGE YOUR OUTLOOK ON LIFE...WITH COCK-AND-BALL TORTURE! ONLY SIX SESSIONS FOR A NEW, IMPROVED YOU!

Ahem. Yes. The actual therapy sounds like a good thing. Hold on to happiness whenever you can. :)

So, a question. Something materialistic, methinks: what's the prettiest/very favourite thing you own?

Thank you for your excellent question. I've already started doodling. :P

Agh, I hate people who think you shouldn't get so involved with politics. Elections affect everyone! I don't understand how people can just not care!

Pretty disappointed with Californians and others for letting the side down on the gay marriage issue, though.
What do you mean? Last I checked, the race on Prop 8 was too close to call! I can't believe there's even a chance it will get passed! California is supposed to be so liberal!

Good luck with your therapy sessions!

And I fail at thinking of questions, so I'm stealing

Prop 8 passed. :( Only by a very small margin (it got 52%) but it passed. I suppose it's heartening that 48% of people therefore voted to keep gay marriage, but it's still pretty depressing. And I feel really bad for the couples whose marriages will be annulled.

Sigh.

Anyway! Thanks for the question. That is an extremely tricky one... do ugly things that I like count? :D

*has been called a one!person*

Gay marriage: Hopefully, Obama'll legalize it for the nation so, unless California decides to be the only state not letting them get married, I don't think it should be too much of an issue. We'll see.

Check out the PalinAsPresident website again (here). It's changed. I liked it a lot better before -- it was fucking hilarious -- but it's worth a look.

If you click on the shredder -- which was manufactured in North Koreastan, naturally -- three times, it shreds a rainbow. HOW COOL IS THAT.

it's based around changing the way you interpret events, and training you to challenge your own negative thinking.

Oh, I like the way you interpret events! But not if it makes you unhappy, I suppose... :( Good luck, anyway. ♥

Question you can draw. Hmmm. Going to do something prosaic: what's the view from your window(s)? Front or back! I know you live in a pretty town, or part of a pretty town. :) Though of course, it might have changed a lot since I was last there.

Do you know, the first thing I said to the doctor was "I want to be happier but I don't want to stop being cynical! That's my whole personality!" :D Luckily she was very understanding about it, so we decided to work on my tendency to lie awake worrying about nuclear war/getting sacked/being a Bad Person instead. :P

Excellent question by the way. The resulting picture will probably have lots of pigeons in it.

Banning gay marriage is one thing, but to actually ban same-sex couples or even SINGLE people from adopting is just too much. Every human being, as long as she or he is capable, should be able to experience having a child. *relevant to my interests* ARGH

Drawing answer thingy: What would be the outfit you'll wear if you went to the Oscars? xD

It's horrible, isn't it? The idea that a child being stuck in the care system is somehow better than them being placed with a loving gay couple or single parent. There are already too many kids in care as it is. It makes me so sad - and angry, because nobody should be using vulnerable kids as a weapon like that. :(
