Yesterday I watched a movie called
Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang. Thanks to
otakucat2 for telling me about it. It starred Robert Downey, Jr. and Val Kilmer, who plays a guy called "GAY PERRY," and it was just the best. thing. ever. They had such great chemistry, and they did such a good job acting and the script was hilarious and self-referential and fourth-wall-

If by "scary" you mean "blindingly hot," then well, yes. He's usually contains emotions and their physical expressions, but when he gets pissed... Mmm.

See, I didn't even *recognize* her. (And I just heard old rumors that she took naked pictures of herself on the bridge and LN had them destroyed. o.O) Seriously, *all* I could see were the sideburns. Or rather the lack of sideburns. So odd!

it'll be very enjoyable provided you can forget about the books for an hour or two
I know I should totally divorce it from the books and enjoy the pretty, but I just don't think that I *can*. Especially after reading Goro's earnest blog analyses of the books. I think it's because I do want so badly to see a good movie version of Earthsea.

i saw your kiss, bang bang talk and it inspired me to finally watch the amazon rental i've had for two and a half months oh dear. but of course, i didn't want to comment until i had actually done so. and !11! yes. so good! so funny! so much love for perry (ALL the best lines)!
(meanwhile, briefed the president using a giant flip chart on an easel and a POINTER. In the TWENTY-THIRD CENTURY, people. In Federation Headquarters. fills me with unholy glee for some reason.)

And yes, hehe apparently flip charts and pointers will never die! Paper buerocracy prevails even in Star Trek! (Or, you know, the movie was full of stupid anachronisms.)
