Masked Singer Followup

Feb 20, 2019 10:18

I have been horrible about updating, even though I promised myself I'd try to keep up. I figured I'd do a quick Masked Singer update before the new episode airs tonight... especially since I missed updating earlier with some of the changes in my guesses.

Alien - I'd been sort of lukewarm about her possibly being a Kardashian, then in her second to last appearance, I actually changed my guess to LaToya (like I said, I really need to remember to chat about this stuff here and not just on Facebook).

Raven - Nailed this one! Yay!

Unicorn - Got this one, too!

Bee - I've been leaning heavily toward Gladys Knight, but Zola pointed out that she only has seven Grammy awards (I thought she had ten total, since I just glanced at the numbers for her and the numbers for the group Gladys Knight and the Pips... which added up to ten, but it turned out the listing for Gladys also included the awards she got with the Pips, so she only has seven). Zola now has me convinced that it's Chaka Khan, although some of the age things still don't seem to quite mesh to me. I need to go back and look at the clues again, because I could have sworn she said she started performing professionally in the 50s.

Lion - I jumped on the Rumer Willis train a few weeks ago and I'm still thinking that's who it is.

Monster - I still have no clue. I suspect it's probably someone I've never heard of.

Peacock - Dude. That is so Donny Osmond. He's been dropping anvils rather than clues. In the last show, during his hint segment, there was a silhouette of the Angel Moroni on the dressing table, so unless it's some other LDS singer who also did Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and first performed on stage when he was five, it's got to be Donny. Also, apparently the other symbol that was on the dressing table is from an Alice Cooper album with a song that mentions Donny by name.

Rabbit - Still leaning toward someone from NSYNC, but I guess it could be someone from another boy band. Really loving the performances and definitely enjoying his singing.
