Yesyesyes. This is one of those writings I've always wished to see. Neuromancer's a fairly opaque book in terms of language, and there is room for subtext, especially in that mysterious scene you noted, and in that other part I still can't figure out but loved so much, LOL. I think you keyed into Gibson's detached, violent portrayal of the organic machine very well here.
