Only reading this a year late, but oh am I glad I found it-- I only just discovered Neuromancer, and I love this.

They do. I'm slyly pushing it on all my friends now that I don't have to write an essay on it, in hopes that I can secretly find and infiltrate fandom somehow.

(Speaking of, is there other stuff you can point me towards? It's proving a bit tricky to find...)

I wish fandom were more in tune with cyberpunk, but historically media fandom and sci-fi literature fandom have been pretty distinct (in fact, it was arguably this schism in the Star Trek era that inagurated media fandom as we know it). I haven't seen any other fic. it might be worth checking out the userinfo of rarelitslash.
