I love the writing; it's so elegant. Especially the metaphors: Like learning long division in school, she was always aware of remainders. You could never have a number perfect every time, and she would rather shut the book on love than read the equation to the end. Lovely.

Your Shane characterization is amazingly true to canon. You capture her complexities and sense of logic fantastically. I like your use of imagery very much-- it's very graceful. :)

very lovely! I love uncanonical L Word pairings, and Shane and Alice are perfect. you've captured so much of the way they dance around each other, in such a gorgeous metaphor.

but which previous challenge did you have in mind -- one of the early ones?
