and the first-person worked too -- I think when the point of the story is the character's introspection it isn't jarring.

eh, technically original fiction isn't allowed, but that was a unilateral declaration on my part. and I'm not dead set on it. perhaps I should do a survey. what do you think -- is it important to you to be able to post original fic? it's a lovely one -- don't delete it yet.

I used to write Cath/Sara all the time and I've ignored them for so long, aww. *pets also* &I'm glad the first-person worked, yay. I think I'll probably play about with it a little bit, even if it's still not my favourite perspective to write from -- I like the variation :)

Having the freedom to play with original characters is good sometimes, especially if I have an idea for a drabble that none of my fandom characters fit into, but if you decide to keep it unallowed, I wouldn't leave in a hissy fit :P Yay that you liked it, though! I'll leave it in the post for the minute.

(Also, for me, I tend to write more original fic around this time of year because I'm half gearing up to attempt NaNoWriMo again, and it helps me come up with characters. A survey might be the best idea. If I'm the only one who wants to include original stuff, I don't mind being voted down :P)
