Title: Trapped.
Fandom: She Spies.
Pairing: Cassie/DD.
MS W/Count: 100.
Author Note: Sometimes I make myself write things I don't want to write. Today, prompted by my thinking too much about which perspective to write from, I'm inflicting 100 words of first person fic on you :P Sorry!

Cassie's going to walk through that door soon, then I'm going to apologise because I'm tired of fighting with her. She'll close herself off from me and make me work for it, because she won't trust that I mean it, but I'll reassure her until the doubt fades from her eyes.
The next few weeks will go smoothly, the next few months if I'm lucky, then something will set her off again. Too many bad relationships have left her scarred, and now we're trapped in a cycle I'm unable to break us out of, no matter how hard I try.
Title: It's Enough.

This isn't what you want, you think, as her lips trail down your neck. This isn't what you want at all but it's all you can have right now, so you'll take it, because she's offering and you know it isn't what she wants either, which makes it right in a strange sort of way.
You understand each other. Understand this isn't about love, this thing you do on the nights you crave human touch. She thinks of Grissom and you think of Warrick; neither of you can have what you want, no matter how much you want it.
Both of you are hurting… cut, bruised, bleeding on the inside; scarred to the depths of your souls by the ones you love. Grissom never quite lets Sara go, always saying or doing something that makes her lose her resolve to move on, and Warrick… Warrick just didn't wait long enough.
You can't really blame him for that, you never really gave him cause to hope you'd eventually change your mind, but you always imagined it would be you-and-him in the future -- his marriage took that away.
The pain was worse than you'd expected, and Sara wasn't surprised when you turned up on her doorstep. She stepped aside wordlessly to let you in, and helped you forget for a while.
This isn't the first time, not for you and her, and it probably won't be the last. It isn't love, or really anything, but as her lips find yours, it's enough.
