Laura held on to her hips, which curved against her palm like the arch of a wine-glass except...these were soft and dressed in trembling, Federation material.
“It’s a bit conspicuous when you’re holding the highest ranking officer the way you are.”
The party blurred as Laura flicked a tongue across Kathryn’s ear. The Captain hid her reaction by turning to Laura and presenting her back to the crowd.
“Not my idea of dinner,” Kathryn choked out.
“Trust me. The alternative’s crossed my mind more than twice tonight.”
“Don’t tell me we’ll be stuck in Neelix’s pantry again.”
“Accidents do happen.”
