A/N: I appreciate all the lovely feedback so far on this series. Thank you!

Angela was sitting in the office flipping through a magazine when Brennan came in and dropped a pile of folders on the desk, looking exhausted.

"Hey sweetie," Angela said with warm sympathy. Brennan looked up and smiled. She wasn't really startled anymore to find Angela in her office; she wasn't startled to find Angela in any situation. Brennan crossed her arms, closed her eyes and rolled her neck in a slow rotation. "Sit," Angela said. Brennan looked up and raised one eyebrow in an expression of protest, but her half-smile diffused its potency and the argument Angela expected never came.

Angela moved behind her chair and slowly put her palms against Brennan's back, spreading her fingers over the blue fabric of the lab coat, gently soothing. She moved higher toward her shoulders and eased the clothing to the sides and down; Brennan's tank top left the pale skin of her neck and shoulders exposed. Angela wasn't about to let the opportunity go. She kneaded more firmly, sliding her fingers dangerously low near the neckline before moving up again. Brennan sighed and without thinking she reached a hand behind her to touch Angela's thigh; it burned through the thin slip of her skirt. For the first time, the circuit was closed and their electricity had nowhere to go.
