Oh Glinda. I always got the feeling that the trip was Elphaba's way of saying goodbye, and that she knew from the start that she was staying in EmCity, but *this*, the way that Glinda *realizes* that's what's happened. Oh Glinda. Thank you so much for writing this.

I love how your simple (but lovely!) comment has my mind whirring again...why did she bring Glinda along? Was it a farewell, did she know they were going to part, was it a brash decision because she didn't want to be alone, did she set off thinking they'd conquer and return to Shiz victorious..?

First of all, it is most definitely alright that you wrote another drabble for the challenge. Feel free to do that whenever you want.

Especially if it turns out to be something like this. This was just fantastic. It was so in character and true to the novel. I always wondered what the trip back would be like for Glinda and this could so easily be it.
