How cool! That fits quite well! It's chilling to think what followed, though Elizabeth's ruthlessness must have had a start somewhere, and the flipside of love is as good a place as any.
Re: it being sisterslash, not that I'm opposed to sisterslash: Mary and Elizabeth were raised quite separately, not as sisters, so it would have all the connotations of a cousinly relationship, if there wasn't also all that vying for the throne stuff that made them enemies.
I really enjoyed this! Your characterization of Elizabeth was very lovely, and I liked your use of courtly language. I hope that you write more Tudor history-fic-- perhaps Elizabeth/Mary Queen of Scots? (You may have inspired me!)
