"Hey," Kim asks suddenly after the guys have jumped and they're preparing to follow, "can I have some of your water?" When Trini looks at her suspiciously, Kim shrugs. "I'm just thirsty," she says innocently.
"You know the last time you said that -- "
"I knocked you off the cliff, I know. If you remember, I apologized before I did it, but you weren't exactly leaving me much choice."
Trini nods her acceptance. She knows she was the Ranger who held out the longest, but like the animal on which her zord is based, the solitary tiger, she was scared of letting anybody get close to her. Silently, knowing she has no reason to be afraid, Trini holds out her bottle.
Kim's fingers close around Trini's. She takes the bottle and several, large gulps of fresh, cool water before recapping it. When Trini reaches for it, she grabs her hand and pulls her into a kiss. Trini's lips open readily, welcoming Kim's tongue. They kiss for several minutes in the broad, clear sunlight on top of the cliff before Trini suddenly pushes Kim.
"HEY!"
"WE'VE GOT WORK TO DO!" Trini calls, pocketing her bottle and jumping after her, but it's clear she's smiling. She's laughing too before they ever plunge into the cool water. There's no reason to be afraid, sad, or lonely any longer. She has a family here with the Rangers, and she has Kim's love. Between the two, she's happier and more complete than she's ever been before!
