Wow, this left me absolutely breathless. I can, literally, feel Sara's pain.
It's really hard to believe what human being are capable of; how they can take another's life so easily.
”You’re her voice, Sara,” she'd said to me, standing in the hotel hallway. She’d held me, briefly, and called me ‘babe’, the way she used to do. And I’d let her. Catherine never does that.
I felt myself going "Awww" when I read that. I don't know why, but I was kind of pissed that Catherine didn't go out and see if Sara was ok.
Helpful distinction: You don't have to be human to be a person. You also don't qualify as a person (to everybody) just because you're human.
This is true in every sense of the word. Sometimes, it's really hard for me to get inside the heads of killers/victims becasue my mindset is so different. However, I do understand that killers do look at their victims as people, they see them how they want to see them. Even so, having the understanding of that still doesn't make it any easier to believe that a human/person is capable of such heinous acts.
Yes. Anoying, but not (I don't think) particularly out of character for her. (I suspect Sara -- and possibly Andie -- is a little pissed off too.).Yeah, I agree. I knew that as I was reading, but I still got pissed. She has the tendency to not "make a scene", as you said. And i'm sure that Sara and Andie are a little pissed at her. I mean, it's ok if you don't want to cause a scene (I hate causing scenes), but if a friend is in trouble (or is dealing with something), i'm there, no matter what
( ... )
Part of me can understand why she didn't go after Sara and can actually hear the little wheel turning in her head as she over-analyzes the situation in her head.
Hehehe... Exactly. :-)
Have posted a few more (only one of which follows these ones, but the rest relate. ;-)
I had these saved to in my "to-read" folder, and just found them.
Those are totally chilling.

Re: Smacking Catherine: Okay, yeah. That being said, Sara and Catherine have kind of been at each other for years over professional behaviour when it comes to crime scenes and suspects. (Mostly suspects, on both sides, I think). Thense Catherine's reaction. Not a nice reaction, and I agree that she's needs a flick around the ear-hole for it, but... *probably* an accurate one. I'm guessing. :-)
