Artifice meets unaware allure! I could see her being struck dumb by that, though by nothing else. (I find Catherine and Sara both surprisingly well-written female characters, considering it's not a character-driven series; at least, Catherine is so strong and intelligent she defies stripper stereotypes and makes me wonder about the making of her, and Sara's character sort of hangs together through her variance of insane workaholic brilliance and the brittleness of her emotional side.)
Oh, bugger. Thanks for reminding me. <*fixes*> (Clearly, I've been spoiled by Cheesemongers. ;-)
Re: character-driven series: It's not? I mean, yes, case-files and fun forensics toys, but... it's like every case that happens has something to do with somebody's personal life. Like the dead baby one, or the one where the little twelve-year-old got "kidnapped" but was being used, essentially, as a parts-bank for her brother who had leukemia. Those ones tend to touch on Catherine's life as a single mom with a very angry little girl. The (many, many) battered/murdered women ones? Sara. All over. Grissam's stories tend to revolve around office romance and how it totally doesn't work because, oh look, he's a work-a-holic too.
But they seem like such superficial coincidences with the character's lives, and they're not there in half the episodes I've seen. No, I can't see how CSI could be called character-driven.
:D Yoooou have a new oh-tee-peeee...
I saw Jorja play Guy Pearce's wife who committed complicated suicide in Memento. It was unusually funny to see that, since I'm not used to seeing her in different roles. Now I've got this weird semi-canon in my head where Sara has diabetes and marries Guy Pearce.
I tend to write 300+ word-count fics, though, so it's a bit tricky to write, say, smut in less than 250 words. I try, but it doesn't always work. ;-) It's a nice challenge. :-)

I'm not about to abandon my soldier-girls. (Not after all the work I've done on them, certainly. ;-)

I'm glad you like the details, and I totally agree with you that Sara's got a bucket of dyke cred up her sleaves. :-)
