Nothing! It's actually kinda great.
I have a side project, fact checking part of a high school textbook, that I'm working on for a little extra dough that's due tomorrow. I'm excited about getting done with it, because it's torture. The tedium is insane. Besides that... not much at all.
I'm watching a lot of tv on netflix, on my wii! I officially

Really? Aww, I really like Germany lots, but I guess it really depends on context. I thought that their reaction to the horrors of war the second time around was pretty excellent (especially compared to *cough* other countries, who have only recently begun to revise their history books). They have a pretty good track record with women (though not the highest, that honor I think belongs to Nordic countries) and diversity, even though like other European countries, they struggle with immigration, etc. Not to mention Berlin is an amazing place (did I mention diverse?), it's young and relaxed and truly feels like a college campus.

I didn't mind Berlin, actually it might be one of my favorite European cities. You're right, it's so diverse. I was absolutely not expecting that. But I was at a conference and was deeply offended/disgusted by many of the German participants, not all of them, but some. It just so happens that those few were so offensive (and that conference was so traumatic) that I still shudder when I think of it and being in the country. It's sad actually.
But at least I can still root for the German NT!

Token is going to lose her shit when she sees that Alexander pic you just posted.
Thanks for the movie rec! I just watched Pandorum and Let the Right One In, both on Netflix Instant Watch and they were really good.
I don't like dorms either. :( But hey, how much time will you actually spend there?
I just finished reading Wicked, and really loved it. Going back and forth between Case Histories by Kate Atkinson and High Fidelity by Nick Hornby. I also just finished We Need to Talk about Kevin by Lionel Shriver. Have you ever heard of her? The book kept me up at night.
As for writing, working on HSG and planning a new story with Token among other things. My niece being around most days plus the online class I'm teaching is keeping me pretty busy though.

Thanks for the book recs. And no I've never heard of that book, but if it kept you up at night I'm in no rush to read it. I tend to have really vivid (often creepy) dreams.
um... I mean, you know, no rush or anything but it HAS been a minute since the last HSG update... ;)
And Alexander Siddig is fine, but that pic... mmmhmmmm

Oh no, I didn't mean scary, scary. I meant that it made think and a little uncomfortable. It's about the mother of a teenage boy who committed a school shooting. There's all sorts of things about the nature of motherhood and children, and where that sort of darkness comes from that you don't really get with most books or movies. But I really enjoyed it.

If you want to write fantasy, as a fan of your writing I would say.... WRITE IT!!!
Ok, I thought you meant that book was scary, but with your description I'll put it on the 'to do' list. That sounds damn interesting.
I'm very interested in family dynamics right now so that's sounds fascinating.
