Heee. So you did end up Logan/Veronica... Yay!

Basically, Duncan is part of Veronica's quest for normalcy (he is happy to pretend everything is hunky-dory, even though it isn't), and he is also unfinsihed business because they really were torn apart. Of course, in the meanwhile they really grew apart and clearly they have lousy sex, no emotional intimacy, and no mental compatibility.

Veronica does have trust issues, and I don't blame her. But she'll have to work through them if she ever wants to happy life. Hopefully with Logan :)

I have about a billion L/V posts on my ljs so am trying not to reiterate stuff :)

Now that I've seen it all I know exactly why everyone predicted that I'd ship V/L.

I like pairings of strong, mixed up characters that bump up against each other with tender moments in the mix.

Yes, Logan and Veronica are both so interesting and so messed-up and so need healing...

I was pretty sure if you were going to ship in VM at all, you'd be Logan/Veronica. VM is one of those fandoms that does have a hugely dominant ship, for a reason. There are not that many Duncan/Veronica shippers (unlike Buffy with its shipper wars). I guess they really work together...

Yeah, and there really aren't very many other ships that are fleshed out enough.

Are there many Logan/Duncan people? Because I can see the appeal of that to a certain demographic of slash fans.

I totally agree that the Duncan/Veronica stuff is being portrayed as SO over in so many ways. It's STILL frustrating though. lol Do I blame Rob for torturing us? Of course not. It's his job. I do it in my stories all the time. And, yet, I still complain.

I do agree that Veronica has major trust issues. And Logan isn't exactly the most trustworthy of beaus, although he has always been so with her. I think that, deep down, one of the reasons she paints him the villain in every piece is that she WANTS him to be, because then she will have a valid reason for running scared from him. He is the ONLY character on the show who gets the best of her, time and again, and it's so damn refreshing. For that reason alone, they belong together.

Hopefully this torture will pay off *when* they get back together. Because they must, darn it!

And your second paragraph? So brilliant in that it concisely gets at exactly what I was trying to say (only I used far more sprawly words).

I just had a thought. See, for me, I was surprised that Logan got back with her so (apparently easily) after she basically accused him of killing Lilly. And my Logan-loving heart wants to rail at V sometimes for not getting that he's sincere with her.

But then of course I realize that Veronica, unlike me, doesn't have the larger narrative scope that we have, and doesn't see what Logan does or doesn't do when she's not around. Still. I don't like it.

I think one of the reasons that Logan did get together with her so quickly after the Lilly accusation is that he understands her. He knew where it came from. He doesn't get himself, but he DOES get Veronica. Why else would he have been able to get her goat, time and again, when they were frienemies. No one else seemed to bug her nearly as much.

Ah, the new VM craze. I'm guilty, I have joined...

I haven't seen S1, but am watching S2 and am slowly spoiling myself (blasphemy!). But I just can't stand to wait to watch the shows til I get the DVD's. My god, it could be Christmas time before that happens!!! :)

In any case, at first, I thought Duncan was a sweetie, and I couldn't see how everyone thought he had no personality. But, wow, he really, really doesn't! In the season premiere, it wasn't so obvious, but now I'm thinking they MUST be doing it on purpose. I like Logan, but am not seeing the LoVe yet. I'll have to get S1 to get that, I think.

Weevil and Keith are my two favorite characters. Wish we could see more of Weevil. And once I see S1, I can see if he's a good guy, or a bad guy, or a little of both.

Oh! Right now I am so sad for you that you're spoiled for Season 1.

All of those things you mentioned (LoVe, Weevil, etc.) will make more sense once you have and it will totally affect how you view this season.
