I am thankful that Xena, Bea, and others for keeping you strong. It's not always easy, but I know fandoms and the friends you make there can be a tremendous help.
Shoot, my Harry Potter fandom friends (A fandoms I left 6 years ago) will still pull through for me and so will my Star Trek friends. The one time (in my adult life) I sent out a call for help, because I was exactly where you were when Bea helped you this last time, those two fandoms pulled together and pulled me out of the dark. So keeping those connections can be a vital part of your life. Even if the stories no longer call to you, the people there will always act as a safety net that you never knew you needed.
Just remember, what defines us, is how well we rise after falling; and I think you are rising rather well sweetheart. *hugs*
*hugs* I'm sorry that you went through all of this, dear. But I'm so glad fandom could help you keep going even in your darkest place. And yes, you don't have to hide. You don't have to be ashamed of who you are, or feel the need to keep it in the dark. You are a stronger person for all the hardships you've survived, for seeing it all through and still holding on, no matter how hard that was and how much you wished to give up sometimes. It's a part of you, if a painful part…
