Yes, I acquired another citizenship.   The years of visa applications, consulate visits, mounds of green card paperwork are over.

With naturalization certificate in hand, passport application took literally 5 minutes - will have a blue one in a few weeks

The whole thing is a bit anticlimactic, frankly. 

It's been 15 years and 3 weeks since I kinda moved to the US of A.

US federal taxpayers paid for research grants, which financed my work.  Taxpayers of three states have paid for my education, training, and salary by supporting state universities, where I have studied and worked.  All in all, this country has been very good to me and to my family.

Thinking about upgrade...  Will use for calls and light texting, but mostly I hope to simplify my e-mail and internet usage...

Same provider (AT&T), so both phones would be at heavy discount with a 2-year contract...

The best opening ceremonies for Olympics were organized by totalitarian regimes:  Nazi Germany, Soviet Russia/USSR, and Communist China.   The rest should just stop trying to do them.
