I've got 1 class of grades submitted plus the grade for the independent study. Woot! I've sent my grader off with all but 3 finals for 254 and have all the 396 papers I expected--12/13ths. At 9:53am today the chair of the University of North Texas history department called to offer me the full-time, tenure-track assistant professorship in women's history. Of course I was with a student catching up from missing two days, so I had to call him back.

I thought the interview at UNT went really well. My teaching demo. went well Tuesday. The students gave me high caliber anonymous evaluations, including some very good advice on improving the clarity of the Power Point slides. Not surprisingly, I suffer from chocking too much onto each slide. I will have to work on that, but I hope it won't take gobs of time.
