Smarties Commercial: A Positive Message?

This commercial, aside from being catchy and all that, really has got me thinking about the message behind the songs/images.

I've always found it weird that smarties are different in the US. There's all sorts of weird food variations between Canada and the US: Corn Pops are a different shape, we have different chocolate bars, etc.
