While reading a blog post about that Canadian workplace accident PSA that is now scarring the retinas of everyone in the US, I found a link to these two domestic violence PSAs and thought immediately of sharing them with this community. My reaction (and that of my boyfriend) was just: GODDAMN. You just don't see stuff like that in the USA.

They definitely get a message across, and the message is definitely a good one.

I saw the Canadian workplace accident one.. a couple of them. I just couldn't get the one with the woman and the hot oil out of my head.

Oh god yeah, I turn away when I see that commercial come on now (and it gets played a lot*). Other than being shockingly graphic, I'm not even sure if it makes its point - like the guy with the faulty harness is clearly a type of workplace "accident" that safety unions should be concerned about, but slipping on a greasy kitchen floor? Seems like an accident without the "quotes".

*It came on while I was writing this!

These are great PSAs, but the comments... Every time I have a shred of hope for humanity, I just need to go to youtube and check out just how many people hate women.
