Sex offender "too short" for prison

May 25, 2006 19:42

A judge in Nebraska just held that a man was too small to survive in prison as a sex offender, so he was given ten years of probation instead. For the first four months, he will be electronically monitored.

He was, apparently, not a "hunter" so the world would be safe from him, as long as he promised to stay away from children.

My position: Arrrggghhh. Probation? Four months? As an alterantive to prison? This is just nuts.
