Related to this post made yesterday: The state senator in Indiana who was trying to push the idiotic bill to prohibit gays, lesbians and single people from using medical procedures to become pregnant has decided to drop the legislation.
Honestly.. why would anyone want to be artificially inseminated when there are scores of thousands of *already born* children in this world who need homes?
Right, neither do I, but honestly.. I'm not gonna start lobbying my giovernment to quit trying to prevent people from doing so, either. That would take too much time away from my time to lobby for, oh, i dunno, efforts to repeal any legislation which limits adoption based upon reasons of descrimination.
I don't see any benefit to society from the technology. I'd be interested in hearing some arguments as to how this technology is something which contributes to any kind of greater good. I can see how it can add to some sort of desire to give birth to one's own child.. but... why?
