Related to this post made yesterday: The state senator in Indiana who was trying to push the idiotic bill to prohibit gays, lesbians and single people from using medical procedures to become pregnant has decided to drop the legislation.
Yeah, same here. I'm from Indy too and my mom's side of the family still lives there (so I visit fairly often) and I'd hate to see my homestate pass such stupidity.
The issue has become more complex than anticipated
WTF?! Was she honestly so stupid as to think people would just go along with it? The scary part is that she didn't even admit anything was misguided or wrong about the legislation. "Oh it just got too much of a hassle, I'll save my legislating bigotry for another day." Eff you, lady. I was about to say "thank God" the pulled it until I realized in situations like this can actually be introduced with a clear conscience, there's not much to be thankful for.
Honestly, it's doubtful. I used to live in her district when I lived with my parents-it's white, middle-class suburbia, and this isn't the sort of thing they will get up in arms about. :/

I hope they kick this state senator's ass out of office for this ludicrous bill at the next election.
