[ For the past... uh, whenever, Sasuke's been taking a nap outside, somewhere round about the lake (where he was training. shut up, it ttly makes sense). It's not exactly the safest course of action, but hey -- he figures that most people won't bother him if he hides out by a tree. And how long could a nap really take anyway? A half hour

I'll show him! [No, he doesn't notice anyone nearby. |:]

I will, I will! But I can't get dressed now! I have to start training!

How long is that going to be?

It might be awhile. I've gotta get ready to beat that old man!

Beat what old man?

But only beat me with a bunch of huge rocks. [Obviously, it was super important.]

[It's obviously important to beat an old man in a sport that he doesn't know how to play that involves possibly drowning. Obviously.]

Let me know if you need me to throw any rocks at you for your OH SO VERY IMPORTANT TRAINING.

I figured it'd help me to beat Sasuke.

How, exactly?

There's a lot of tackling and stuff! It'll help me get better in taijutsu!

You're going to get better at taijutsu by tackling people in the water and dodging rocks.
[ He doesn't sound as convincing as Gai or Lee when they mention similar training tactics. ]

Yeah! And it'll be pretty fun!

Water resistance training will help build muscle, but you do realize it doesn't use the same muscles in your legs. The weight you don't bear in the water feels heavier when you're back on land, the lower levels of humidity in the air you'll become accustomed to in the water don't usually exist significantly outside of it, and the speed you gain in swimming will be all but negated by running on the surface of the water.
[ But she looks up at the end and gives Naruto thumbs up. ]
Stick to the dodging rocks part, though. Those reflexes you can use.
[ And a pause; ]
Or else admit you're just having fun.
