My dad passed away around half past 9 last night. He went peacefully after spending the last day mostly sleeping. Just before we left him, around 6 pm, I talked to him, told him not to worry about us, we were okay and it was time for him to leave. Then I kissed him good night. I want to believe he heard me because his heart was still beating

I'm so sorry to hear this... LJ family or SPNFamily might not be the same as Mr. F ans your kids, but I'm here if you feel like you need to talk. I lost my son the day after Thanksgiving 4 years ago, and my Mom at the beginning of October 3 years ago, so I do understand how hard everyday "Holiday" things can be, not to mention just this time of year just being difficult in general. Again, I'm so sorry you and your family have to go through this, especially right now, but you do have the blessing that he went peacefully, so I hope you find comfort in that this Holiday season. *HUGS*

I'm sorry for your loss. We've lost about ten to fifteen people from our family, relatives and friends in the last three years and I can absolutely understand how hard it is to lose someone. Never the less, I always thought it a great relief to think that now they are somewhere where there is no pain or sadness. I'm wishing you and your family strength for the time to come, even though the mood this Christmas will probably be subdued and bittersweet. I'm really sorry for your loss. *hugs*
