Just checking in. We're in the countryside, drove up north to visit my aunt and uncle, grandma's siblings. I used to stay at their farm every summer from the age of 8 until I was 21 so this is like my second home. It's so changed though. They are getting really old, my uncle is 89 and my aunt is 81. My Mum has always said that adolescence is nature's way of making sure that when your kids are grown you kinda want them to move out. If they stayed young and cute forever you'd never want them to leave :-P

Course my younger brother is 26 and still lives at home with his 30 year old wife and their dog so not sure that worked out too well.

That sounds about right. Of course my parents threw me out the day I finished junior college. That was the rule, by the age of 20 or when we finishing junior college. Well, there were 5 of us so it was pretty understandable. Also, my mum? Big on people being independent. Worked out well enough.

Of course my youngest sister is 22 now and still living at home, when she's not at school in Edinburgh. I guess the rules change when you're the youngest. Or when the old lady suddenly finds herself alone in an empty apartment. lol
