What often irritates me about people commenting out on controversial issues is the blatant misinformation spread by these speakers.
For example, consider some of quotes today in reaction to California Superior Court Judge Richard Kramer's ruling that the California law banning same-sex marriage is unconstitutional.

Last week I went to see the Redskins-49ers game at Candlestick Park (or whatever it's called now). This was the first live football game I've been to in many years. The California State Senate approved SB1421 requiring students starting in the 2009-10 school year to receive instruction in parenting skills before graduating from high school "provided through either a course in home economics or the one-semester course in American government and civics."

I usually refrain from political commentary. But the recent comments from Senator James Inhofe (R-Okla) go beyond politics. Somehow Senator Inhofe seems to have forgotten the basic concepts of common decency and humane treatment of others.
