Gone. Twelve yeas of plotting, scheming, writing, dreaming, mad cackling*cough*, all-nighters, bossy betas and pushy reviewers, it's gone. My backup got corrupted, everything else is still on it, but the two folders containing all my stories, snippets, crib notes, ideas, sketches- just gone. Of course also the new additions to the unfinished

Thanks. What *is* lost is the first half of the ending of 'Who is David Hodges' plus four other YGO slash stories and a started fic centered on Wedges. Plus a few fun ideas on Stodges ficlets, a rather complex HA! story and my two additions to a huge Round Robin, one of which I did a ton of research on ancient Egyptian mythology. The real joke? That group doesn't exist anymore, so all the files have been cleared and dumped off the server -a-duh.
And to make matters worse: none and I do mean *none* of the other files, folders or pics show even so much as a hint at data corruption. Everything is perfectly in place where it should be, except for the most vital parts.*sigh*
Thanks still for the support, it's nice to know that at least one person out there bears with me -aside of my fellow ff.writers, that is.*hugs* Hope you'll have more luck with your new Mac, hon.
