Finally, I can catch up on some stuff without having to sit in our uncomfy computer chair (we definitely need a new one).

Aww, poor lil' garter snake baby. :( I rescued a baby red rat snake from my cat a few weeks ago. They tend to pile up in the wood pile if we don't clear it out fast enough.

Yeah, when I found out it was a garter, I felt kind of bad. We ended up burying it in some leaves.

I can't fault the cat, though. She was doing her job.

Yes, indeed.

Bunqui has been killing vicious catnip mice. Isis prefers to hunt wild rolls of socks.

Seriously, though, Bunqui is very good she's the one who catches/corners mice when they're about, too.

Yes. I didn't feel particularly sorry for it when it was in my dining room, but when I found out it was a garter snake and was probably just looking for a place to hole up for the winter, I kinda wished we could have done something to save it.
