I know, right? I've never had one. I imagine it'd taste even better than onion rings... Sinful. Evil. In the best sense. :P

They're interesting, foodwise. In certain respects I prefer them to onion rings, especially badly done onion rings. And it takes a lot of fine engineering skill to make them work at all. Making them be a food item that can be mechanized besides... That is some skill.

Definitely worth trying. Unless you're allergic to onions.
