Spuffy Fic: "Enough" (New Territory Trilogy #3)

Mar 14, 2015 16:05

The third one-shot in the "New Territory" Trilogy, sequel to “Cold Light of Day”. Each can be read as a stand-alone, but is better read together as a series. This story is set in Season 5, during “The Gift”. Bits of dialogue from “The Gift”, by Joss Whedon the man himself, are used here to establish continuity ( Read more... )

Thanks! *blushes* My first (actually, to-date, only) NC-17 story. That was surprisingly difficult to write. ;)

It may have been difficult to write, but it was a joy to read! So sad that their "after" never came though...

Hi DD, you're too kind! I hope you enjoyed this little trilogy!

I'm working on the "after". That's what Edge of Sorrow is for...when I get there. It may take a while, but I won't let them get away with it! :)

Thanks again for reading and commenting!

So I read this (and the previous two) a while back on my phone, and have been intending to come back and leave feedback ever since. I love your style, it's rich and yummy, and works particularly well with the erotica (I hope you take this as the compliment it's intended to be - good erotica is hard to come by, for good reason). I love this departure from canon, which, given the place they were at pre-jump, I can easily believe. I need to read the sequel(s?) asap, and very much looking forward to it!

Aww, thanks!

Having just read your "Reciprocal" (which blew me away!), I'm flabbergasted that you'd say such nice things about this story (and the previous two). I'm definitely taking it as a big compliment because erotica is not easy to write, at least for me. In fact, this is the first and only erotica I've written. :)

Thanks for your interest! The sequel is a long fic Edge of Sorrow, Heart of Truth, although I keep getting distracted and getting sucked into writing quickies with an immediate payoff. ;)

Thanks again for the feedback!

Hee! Thank you very much! It just takes practice, like any other type of writing. Somewhere in the depths of my LJ is the wibbling I went through when writing my very first sex scene - it wasn't pretty ;) I do spend a certain amount of time thinking about smutty fanfiction, though (as in, the mechanics of it, not just the actual porn *g*), so if you want any tips/suggestions/whatever just let me know.

Hahaha! The mechanics, naturally. It's all in the name of...research. :)

Really appreciate the offer to share your wisdom! As it happens, I may have to deliver a sex scene for my latest WIP. And, well, how do you make it fresh and mind-blowing and different in each story? I'm dreading having to write it. Not that I think any reader's going to put up the only two sex scenes I will have ever done side by side and compare notes. But if they did, I wouldn't want them to say, "Hey, they're a lot alike!"

I mean, if Spike is supposed to be a total stud, then the writer can't be a one-trick pony either (this is not coming out right). :P
