I started this for sb_fag_ends on a March 2015 prompt: “wishbone”, then abandoned it while the Muse went on a walkabout. This month's prompt "day and night" got me back to this story. You see, it takes place at the end of the day, as the prompt says:

This little Spuffy one-shot, which I'm rather fond of, came about as a form of self therapy, in an attempt to get anaross' story "Stay" out of my head.
