I enjoy the Channing Tatum-meter story! I wish you had had a Channing Tatum type the day you got your ticket (before you got it, of course).
And, err, yes. Jamie Bell can exude a lot of dominance vibes in his roles.
Not only in The Eagle, but notably in Retreat as well (that poor Ciaran didn't stand a chance) and Jane Eyre to some extent (the way une orders his sisters to be quiet just with a stern look). So yes, of course, von Trier will trust him with a dominator role, this is good use of potential.
The Turn role seems of a different nature. Can't wait to see how he pulls off the hero-we-root-for type of role.
And Channing-Marcus, well, he confident enough not to mind a bottom role from time to time ....

Von Trier is used to and confortable with taking viewers out of their confort zone and making them squirm.
I wouldn't be surprised if the "K" character did even more than that. Jamie Bell did hint that it did go far.
V.Trier has been very appraciated at the Cannes film festival. ANd now, he is personna non grata, more or less. We'll see how it develops...
