Sherlock Holmes

I went to see the movie this afternoon. I didn't have much expectation for this movie itself, I just wanted to see if RDJ and Jude Law have chemistry on screen. Here are what I thought:

I so can't wait to watch it!
I like both the actors, and I believe the story to be quite gripping.... still, any bit of slashy is good for the health xD

The story is okay, but not really... let's say, on the same level as The Da Vinci Code. It's slashy, but not THAT slashy

I found it interesting that the movie seemed to be setting up for Holmes arch nemesis, Mortici (don't actually know how to spell the name). So obviously I planned out franchise with this film.

The only reason I could think, as to why Holmes didn't want Watson to move out was that Holmes doesn't have that many friends, that can deal with his eccentric nature. He doesn't seem close to many people.

I noticed about the Irene Adler line. I think quite a few things got cut out. I imagine in my head that there were more scenes inside Irene's hotel room, gathering my memories about the trailer. Could be cut due to a timing thing? Hard to say about studio exec.

Yes, someone said that in one of the trailers, there was a scene with Irene & Sherlock taking off their clothes or something like that. The theatre version, they don't even have a proper kiss.

So, they just undercut all the sexuality in general. lol That makes me laugh for what ever reason.
