It's fine - I've done it lots of times
You don't have to be specific either, you can just ask "Looking for Modern AUs Merlin/Arthur" or something like that - and there are tags like "arthur finds out" etc. etc. that can help you find stuff. It's really good :)
I haven't been into fic since I went from my Merlin obsession on to Doctor Who but I freaking loved merlin_finders for ages and found a lot of fic (and other interesting things like vids, pictures etc. - you can ask people to "find" anything Merlin-related) there - one of my main resources :)

It sounds like I'm talking about she's the man but I'm actually talking about Coffee Prince (which is a KDRAMA btw, not a jdrama!). He falls in love with her while she thinks she's a boy! He has this whole am-I-gay internal drama. And then it becomes het and they are adorable in love! YOU SHOULD WATCH IT IT'S FULL OF LULZ AND ADORABLENESS.

But also, slash! John Abraham! I'm going to have to watch this movie now! John Abraham! Is it canon slash or subtext slash though? I'm guessing subtext, but I think that's ok in movies that are not childhood classics.
