"What, even wine gums?"

Went to the dentist's this morning.  Apparently, there's a ledge of tooth sticking out under the crown, and food can get trapped there causing infection.  He's put cement over it, but if that wears off, he says he'll  remake the  crown for no charge.  At least there seems to be no nerve damage.  However, I shall need another filling, and the ( Read more... )

Have you tried those sugar free 'Sula' sweets?

OK, they aren't wine gums, but you can get them in a farily convincing butterscotch flavour, which might soften the blow a bit.

There are always dentures, anyway :)

Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow you may get hit by a crosstown bus, and you won't care much about your teeth!

There are some holes in that philosophy... but I'd still eat my sweets, were I you!

In truth, cutting down wouldn't be a bad thing. But I do love sweets and chocolates dearly.
The dentist recommended brushing teeth or at least rinsing mouth after having sweet things. More practical to do after a chocolate bar than after every wine gum or Extra Strong Mint.
