My internet at home isn't working

Cable broadband from Virgin.
Was working OK yesterday morning but not late last night or this morning. Cable TV and phone are OK.
Have tried:
Switching power off and on again.
Checking all connections.
Hoovering the vents of the modem in case it was caused by dust.
Swearing at it.

Any more suggestions?

Did actually unplug, swear at it for 30 seconds, and replug. Still no joy.
May have to call ISP tomorrow.

My computer has also been giving me grief today, but luckily it decided after 3 hours to play nicely again. Using Norton Goback and resetting the whole system to around noon yesterday may have helped, but who knows? Of course you need to have Norton Goback already installed to have that option...

If you can't fix it with a hammer, it's an electrical problem.

But seriously, call your ISP and ask them to ping your connection.
