Went to Burn Soo Bright last night.  Another well Airwolf evening.  Good to see Franck again and have a beer or two.  The theme was "transport" and Pete had tricked out his decks with a "car" bonnet and windscreen, with lights and windscreen wipers and everything.  The DJs all had "be seen, be safe" hi-vi strips on their clothes.  minx2012 played a set, ( Read more... )

My longsword, my Thai hilltribes crossbow, and a whetstone for the former.

Also, doesn't the Tardis have special mojo preventing energy weapons from working inside it?

It does, but the writers have ignored or forgotten that on occasion.

Ok, I may be missing something, but is this episode the first we know of Mr Saxon? If so, then yes I agree it was a trifle heavy handed. Have you heard any rumours of who or what he's supposed to be? (could he be another time lord as suggested by what-his-face the big face alien from the other week?)

There have been a few references so far. People saying "Mr Saxon's right", and "Vote Saxon" posters. He seems to be a politician/powerbroker. The tank fired on the Racnoss ship on "?Mr Saxon's orders" in the Christmas special.
Just type "Mr Saxon" in Wikipedia if you're interested in who he might be.
Or in Google, where you find:

I'm crap at picking up background stuff like this.

Looked at the votesaxon webpage and like to see that a little bit of work has been put into it, building up blog entries on behalf of Lazarus Inc etc....

tube of mints, knitting, and whatever was in my bag. And I'd expect all of them to be used to save the universe at some future occasion!

Knitting yarn and needles have lots of potential as world-saving props.

Ought to post mine, really.
I'd grab my stick bag. It's got my glove, bat, shinguards, two softballs and my first aid kit.
Wine gums.
Any BookCrossing books to hand.
A few favourite clothes.
Swiss Army knife.
And my longsword.

I remember an episode of Stargate, where O'neill and Teal'c are playing golf through the gate.

O'Neill: What's the distance to planet x?
Teal'c : Several Billion miles O'Neill
O'Neill: Gotta be some kind of record.

if you went travelling with the doctor and a bookcrossing book, what could be the longest time between release and catch, and how far could it travel?! (And how could others explain how it got there?!)

Bet Diesel would enjoy his travels.
You'd probably like the cats in this spin-off story.
