Had last week off work.  Didn't do much with it - enjoyed avoiding the rush hour, went for walks in the park, watched a lot of the football, cleaned the flat.
Went to wascally_weasel and Bryony's place yesterday.  WW, Rupert & I went on a bike ride across Richmond Park to enjoy the view and drink a couple of beers at the Roebuck (I made a poor showing cycling the ( Read more... )

This so called softball of yours seems awfully dangerous - it seems every third post includes some grisly injury. Glad you're ok.

For fecks sake, that must be the most dangeros game in the world.

Hate to see what would happen if you played with a hard ball!

Yes. Well. The ball isn't actually soft at all.
We have had two players in A&E so far this season, and we've played six out of fifteen matches. I worked out, while waiting in A&E myself, that at this rate we can expect another three by September. Any fewer and we're doing well.

I did guess.

Btw, I still can't get over the fact I have two friends in two different countries who are into medieval swordfighting.

I'm guessing you need an extra two players now instead of one for tomorrow? LOL Matey, your text made me laugh (in a sympathetic way) but just think, if you are really lucky, you'll have a macho eyebrow scar which you can make up 'croc wrestling' style stories about :)

It must have been the day for cycling yesterday although I imagine Richmond was more aesthetically pleasing to cycle through than the hardcore Wandsworth Council Estates I found myself pedalling through!

Ah, but you're a more hard core cyclist.
I'm hoping to find that chicks dig scars.

What is it with my husband and you and sychronised injuries, the time you broke your finger, he broke his thumb. We spent yesterday in A & E waiting for him to get his foot x-rayed, watching the Ghana/Czech game and the Italy/USA game. Please avoid getting injured again, it always seem to mean some hospital duty for me - LOL!!

Hope he's OK.
I shall certainly try not to get injured again.
