Personnel suck (again)

Apologies in the unlikely event someone who works in personnel/HR reads this. Where I work, even the head of personnel has said his mission is to destroy them. Unproductive and incompetent are the only two words I will use

What exactly is going on? Sounds like some kind of equal pay review or something similar?

Nope nothing like that. Just to set the scene a bit, I wear hearing aids as I was born deaf (don't worry I can still hear almost 100%). I am on a semi fast track that monitors my career progression, but I have to do everything myself (the jobs, promotions etc). Anyway as a result of me moving from London to Bristol, my career progression has been slowed slightly because I have done two totally different jobs

Yep it is civil service working for the military bunch in Bristol. I know where you work (used to work with your colleagues). It is only personnel, I have not had any problems with the people I actually work with.
