My first NaNoism!

I had my first good NaNoism of the year! Yay!
For those who don't know, a NaNoism is a hilarious typo/mis-type that tend to pop up during the marathon of NaNo writing.

Here's the first good one of '08:
"So, the cement ledge that lined the stairs became my new purse."

Yay!

Really getting to know this little guy. His character is clear and genuine. Loved the church scene. You brought us right there with him and let us feel his emotions, so clearly.

Awww. That's... sad.

I love what he had to say about his "two moms." It's perfect foreshadowing, both for the bad turns that will happen later and for why he likes to linger and watch Sam work in the kitchen later in life. That made me smile.

I like that he doesn't like cerulean either.

And I find it interesting that I was just starting to wonder what traits he got from his real parents when you started to write about his thoughts on that. I really like how you ended this section.

I'm still loving it. I haven't seen anything that isn't phenomenal.

The beauty of making ones thoughts and feelings flow from words, song, or color is a gift. It's not about how others like or don't like it. It's about the release of what's inside; whether beauty or pain, love or fear, it's the birthing of a "child" brought about by experience.
