Today, I ventured forth to a town I've never visited before and bought 14 books. In preparation, I'd searched for the second-hand book shops, jotted down the street names - but if I'd been really prepared, I'd have printed off a map. It was! Especially when I think in terms of what I paid on average for each book and that the total wasn't as much as the price for one book that I really, really wanted to buy until I realised that the asking price was £90, not £20. As it is, I have fourteen books to enjoy when the nights draw in.
