Summer resolutions

I've made a summer resolution: Go on more day trips. From Montauk to the Catskills, there's so much to see that I've started to make a list. Plus, I like the sense of discovering a hidden corner tucked away from New York City, and away from even the better known places, like the Hamptons. (Not that I could actually afford a meal in that town!) So,

Every year I'm all "I'm going to rediscover NYC!" and for the most part it doesn't come through. So I'll have to live vicariously through you. Though I do want to do more exploration of Flushing as I know there are so many hidden gems. Perhaps when I start apartment hunting I'll find more goodies tucked away in Queens. And I have to get to the Guggenheim!

Nope, no Guggenheim. Amazing how lacking I am in artsy stuff once I have to pay for it. When I was in school I did not take as much advantage of my student discount as I should have. [Regrets.]
