New York's Grandest

I paid a visit to Grand Central Terminal, since it recently celebrated its centennial. While I was in the neighborhood, I also swung by the New York Public Library. Sometimes (all right, most of the time), as a New Yorker, I have to stop and remember these beautiful buildings are within reach!

Beautiful pictures, thanks for sharing these! Last time we went to NYC (for a piano competition, naturally), we made the pilgrimage to the library, and I could have stood and stared at those iconic lions all day. :-)

I know, everything in the library's so beautiful you also forget it's a place for research! True story: I actually used the books there for a project one. You have to request most, and then take them to a table to do your work. But you can't check out, naturally.
