What I'm Reading Now: Wildwood Dancing by Juliet Mariellier. Love her writing!

I was also so bored while waiting for a table at a restaurant that I actually started reading Cold Kiss by Amy Garvey on my phone, which I bought some time ago when it was on sale. Only desperation seems to drive me to an e-book, hmmm…

The cover for Siege and Storm doesn't look that different from Shadow and Bone beyond the colors and the cloud. I mean make an effort people.

How are you liking Cold Kiss so far? I liked it way more than the sequel. The sequel seemed quite rushed and forced to me. Though I like both covers.

Re: Cold Kiss, It's probably because I started reading it in the middle of all the madness at Queens Mall, but the character came off as super emo to me! I left off at the part when the new guy starts dogging her, so I'm still at the very beginning.

I still can't believe Bardugo's series is the one picked up by the Harry Potter producer. I mean, it was enjoyable but I didn't rave about it...

I'm with you on the "YA" novels by Paolo Bacigalupi --- SO dark. But his adult novels are okay, if you've got a taste for dystopia, especially taking place in Asian countries.

Which adult novel would you recommend? I keep meaning to pick up The Windup Girl sometime.

On further research, I'm sad to say that Windup Girl is his only non-YA novel so far. I'm hoping he'll change that (soon!), but until then, yes, I would recommend Windup Girl ( ... )
