While America waits for the election results (and while I sweat out 30 lbs in anxiety), I will launch into a highly scientific analysis: I present the leading men of The Lizzie Bennet Diaries.

I think I'll be slowly warming to the new Darcy too, but I think his robotic manner is in character - when you see the actor speaking elsewhere, he sounds SO DIFFERENT. I think I can be on board with getting to know this Darcy better as Lizzie does. I didn't like Wickham either, but I also think we weren't supposed to like him. He's supposed to set off people's "this guy is semi-fakey" alarms. Basically I think it's very deliberate, these things. And yeah, Bingley is perfect.

Your post made me hunt around the internet for a non-character video of Daniel Gordh: http://whatstrending.com/2012/11/lizzie-bennet-diaries-stars-ashley-clements-daniel-gordh-talk-youtubes-pride-prejudice/

After viewing that, I can be more open-minded. We'll see. Although one thing that really stood out to me especially after watching this Darcy video is how the actors are physically limited by the vlog format: They are literally in place. They can't really pace or stand anywhere else without risking the camera missing their facial emotions, and that must come into play espeically when they're doing the emotionally tense scenes. So in a way, they have an additional "hurdle" to overcome.
