I agree about Pollan. I've tried to read his books several times, and just can't do it. I've read the first part of Botany several times, and tried to read Omnivore's Dilemma twice. It's not that I'm not interested in the content of the book, it's the delivery that I can't stand. Reading his articles in the New York Times magazine, on the other hand, I dig. I think his writing is best in journalistic stylings and less user-friendly in book-form.

yes. i think that this book could have been twelve pages long and related all of the same information.

I'm totally with you on Pollan's writing style. His book are great for content but his limited vocab in expressing his ideas wears thin shortly.
