I struggle with my weight a lot - I'm quite a bit older than you and post-baby so it's harder to take off; and I have Crohn's disease and have to eat pretty low-fiber, which makes it hard; also, I love sugar and fat is **AWESOME ( ... )

Biggest thing (besides cutting out complete crap and drinking lots of water) is to have PROTEIN for breakfast, preferably within 30 minutes of waking. It kick-starts your metabolism.

A prize should be something that involves celebrating, or the purchase of something you wouldn't ordinarily buy for yourself or that you'd wait to get it second-hand or after the price drops:
  • A book/CD/DVD
  • A new item of clothing
  • Dinner/evening out
  • Manicure/pedicure/massage (you can get these on the cheap if you go to an aesthetics school - usually they are supervised, and they aren't allowed to work on 'live' customers until they've mastered it on mannequins)
  • Something silly

I use a Turkish bath as my motivational prize, because I love being warm & feeling pampered, so how about a sauna, or a massage?
